Bottle shared at THT March. Hazy dark brown with beige head. Cloves, sweet malts, caramel, strong fresh oak, light roast, lots of spices. Medium sweet, bitter and bodied. The oak is a little weird here, but overall it’s not bad.

6/III/18 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: IX/2027, bottled: IX/2017 (2018-246)

Clear deep purple brown beer, big aery fizzy beige head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: yeast, bit malty, soft roast, some banana, quite some chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty sweet, caramel, some banana, alcohol, chocolate, soft roast, some vanilla. Aftertaste: little acidic, bitter, some tannins, chocolate, bit of coffee, cocoa powder, dry, more alcohol, not bad at all.

Zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en licht zoet met ioets van wiskey, vanille, chokolade en karamel.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Dark brown with a beige head. Sweet dark malts with dried fruits, bourbon and some oak. Taste is sweet. Nice round body and long sweet finish. Nice one.

Bottle from LDW, Eke. Hazy brown colour, beige foam. Nose of caramel, dark fruit, plums, light sweet. Bit thin and weak but not a bad beer.

330 ml. bottle. Joint purchase & share with Kraddel. Dark brown mocha tanned head. Nose is surprisingly thin BE dark fruit fish guts, sugar,… Shockingly thin sugar, empty thin, poor BE fruits, fish guts, thin coffee, empty and lacking all bourbon, very thin, weak, lacking oak & bourbon. Quite a disappointment really.

Bottle. Pours very dark copperbrown. Small white head. smell is oaky, toffee, medium complex . Taste is mild chocolate, roasty, toffee. bit sweet, mild oak, some hidden bourbon. mild booze.
