Sample@TCBW2024 Dark ruby colour and small beige head. Ryeish, malty aroma. Full-bodied. Sweetish, rye, caramalt, bourbon. Nice but too sweet.

Rated at CoolHead Taproom. Sweet, heavy with plum notes, some syrup, vanilla, toffee and prunes, hints of dry rye bready notes in the finish. Barrel notes are quite subtle. A bit too sweet and heavy. Could benefit from some aging.

From bottle at Juova, Helsinki. Poured dark brown in color, not much head, oily looks. Pleasant nose of bourbon, light wood, rye bread and sweetness. Warming, full bodied with some bitterness in the finish. Flavorful indeed.

(Keg at CoolHead Taproom, 20240320) The beer poured oily and dark brown. Its head was small and white. Aroma had wood, vanilla, spicy notes, toasted malts and sweet rye notes. Palate was full bodied, dry and lightly warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, wood, vanilla, spicy notes, sweet rye notes, alcohols and bitterness. Aftertaste had vanilla, toasted notes, wood, alcohols and bitterness. A tasty blend of wood, malts and spicy rye notes.
