330 ml bottle. Pours black with short dark tan head. Aromas of chocolate syrup, fudge, soft sweet bourbon, vanilla, and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with more whisky notes than bourbon, and chocolate fudge out front. Warm finish. Not getting the almonds; maybe it’s the age , or maybe that’s why I get whisky… Overall, very good.

A bottle shared at BJCP Judging School, Žminj. Thanks. Oily dark brown, minimal head. Aroma is nutty, chocolate, molasses, chocolate liqueur. Hints of dried fruit and almonds. Flavour is sweet molasses, nuts almonds, some warmth, some chocolate and spices. Heavy, intense, medium body, still drinkable. Sweet finish with some warmth.

Thx Seba S for sharing the bottle with us in Žminj! Blackish brown body, didn't note any head in my sample. Barrel treatment evident immediately, coconut over smooth, full maltiness, raisins more than chocolate for me there. The taste combined treacle, coconut, some cocoa perhaps, sticky and sweet, but lean and soft enough, with umami vibes, and light alcohol in the finish. Yeah, this is nice. Bit imperfect though in the end. Seems past its prime too.

Bittle at craft beer junction bermondsey tasting. Many thanks. A thick dark black brown coloured pour a halo of white head. Aroma is semi sweet, oily, cinnamon, marzipan, brown sugars, boozy. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, oily, chewy, brown sugars, marzipan, hot alcohol,. Palate is thick, chewy, mellow, lush.

330ml bottle pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice sweet chocolate caramel toasted almonds bourbon barrel notes. Taste is more of the nice sweet chocolate roast malts rich almonds some bourbon barrel.

Pitch black colour, small beige head. Very strong nose with alcohol, dark chocolate, vanilla, bourbon. Medium to full-bodied. Starts with sweet vanilla flavours, then alcohol, chocolate, bourbon and roastyness leading to almondy finish. Quite complex, sweetish BA brew. Good.

bottle from kihoskh very dark brown, nearly black, very very dark brown head that doesn't last very long. boozy sweet aroma, sweet licorice, coconut, chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, nuts, dark chocolate cake with white frosting. flavor is roasted malts, chocolate, wood - almost charred wood, peppery warming alcohol, almonds. decent pastry stout, sweet, the malts and the booze and the wood is not carrying the flavor though, too much other ingredients, feels a bit unbalanced/artificial.

Sampled @ Haze Wave Festival 2024. Poured black in color. Heavy malty, chocoalte and spiciness, with nice woody notes. Bourbon in finish. heavy.

Bottle with brown Wax.Aroma is sweet with flavor of roasted nuts and milk chocolate of course also bourbon and soya note smooth warming finish.
