Handpull cask at the Eagle & Child, Staveley. Light gold, clear with a small film of white head. Raw grain and floral notes in the aroma. Bitter taste with a papery dryness. Long bitter finish. Some butter notes in the aftertaste. I've had worse but this doesn't do it for me.

Bottle. Amber in colour, with a slight, white, head and moderate carbonation. Aroma of sweet, flabby, cereals, with a hint of marmalade and leafy hop. Flavour was dominated by boiled sweet notes, which meant that, overall, the beer was not very pleasant.

Cask at GBBF’16, day three, 11/08/16. Golden blonde with a decent off white head. Nose is bready malts, straw, light grains. Taste comprises buttery notes, bread, light fruit esters, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Average to sub par ... looks and feels good but lacks at the business end and has a buttery twist that this Bois does not appreciate!
