Pig's Ear. Clear deep amber - brown beer, a few pale tan bubbles. Smooth palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Slighty sweet dark malts, mellow dark chocolate. Touch of roast. Tangy dark fruits. Smooth semi dry finish. Tangy dark fruity linger. Not exactly a hoppy beast is it?

Cask at the Peoples Park Tavern, 27/03/14. Extremely dark mahogony brown with a moderate off whire swirl atop the glass splaying to mere edgework over time. Nose is dark berry fruit, light roast, liqourice, dusty hop notes. Taste comprises earthy hops, light roasty tones, red berry fruit, pine bite, liqouruice, brown bread. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. A pretty low end/basic CDA, perhaps not on top form ?

Cask at the People’s Park Tavern - Victoria Park, London. Pours clear, dark brown with a lingering tan cream head. Good toasted pine aroma with notes of dark bread, light roast. Light to medium sweet flavor with burnt earth, grapefruit rind, torched pine, dirt and cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Faint burnt pine resins to finish with light astringency, more earth and citrus rind bitterness, baking cocoa. OK.
