From Heinrich 3000, during a trip in november/december 2018, it was a good surprise, generous and rich brown ale, soft, malty, nuts, some hop, bready and sweet, roasted malt, 11.05.2019, drinking it at Epalinges.

From the bottle. Brown with a thin, beige head that lingers. Aroma is full of hazelnut with a hint of toffee. Taste is mildly sweet, malt-forward, with an uptick of roasted sourness (if there is such a thing!) at the end. Feels a bit empty. To be charitable—mild mannered. Body is medium, carbonation moderate to mild, mild watery notes. I love brown ales and this one starts good but doesn’t rise much beyond average.

Fläschla: Almost clear, deep ruby-amber coloured, medium-sized creamy off-white head; rich sweet-bitter nose of dried fruits, toasted malt - with an almost peaty touch - and bitter chocolate, traces of vanilla underneath; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, very, very soft; smooth and lingering sweet-bitter toasty and fruity finish with an increasing bitterness and chocolate stains in the aftertaste. Great, great, great franconian stuff...

(bottle, 33cl, as Main Seidla Craft Brown Ale, 6.2% abv) Stout-like appearance: very dark brown colour with a beige and firm medium-sized foamy head. Roasty malty aroma with notes of dark chocolate, mocha and ground coffee beans. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Roast-malty taste with notes of chocolate cake, mocha and a whiff of dried fruits; balanced and lasting bitter-sweet finish. Good. 31.V.18
