Old rating - A 330ml bottle with pours a near black colour with a beige head. Aromas & tastes of ginger, biscuit, cloves, cinnamon, oats, hints of spice & malt. Medium to full bodied. Smooth malty finish. Very enjoyable

Bottled. Deep ambery brown colour with a mediumsized beieish brown head. Aroma is gingerbread, some chocolate, mild roast and some toffee. Flavour is gingerbread biscuits, some peppery, chocolaty and mild toasted tones. Spices stay for quite a while in the aftertaste.

Tap at Drygate. Ginger is subtle, something milky there too. More spice in nose than taste but ginger pokes through at the end. Cinnamon too? Blotchy light brown head stayed on a near black thick body. Gingerbread, malt & demerara aroma. Medium to full bodied, oily smooth with a clean finish. Nut, roast, gingerbread, brown sugar, lactose & dark berry tastes.

ABV: 6.2%. Clear dark brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, cake - gingerbread, roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, chocolate, gingerbread spices like ginger - cloves - cinnamon. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, gingerbread, chocolate, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt, gingerbread spices like ginger - cloves - cinnamon. 20/10/2018. Bottle. Pours dark mahogany brown with a large tan coloured head. Aroma of gingerbread biscuits, chocolate, malt, light cinnamon and peppery notes. Light to moderate sweetness, medium bitterness developing more in finish. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Light spicy finish. Nice.

Bottle purchased from Honest Brew. A black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Roasty, ginger, spice, chocolate on the nose. Taste is heavy spice and ginger with some chocolate. Decent enough but a little too heavy on the spice front.
