13th July 2022 Level 6 tasting. Cheers for the can. Almost clear amber brown beer, small pale tan head. Light smooth palate, semi dry, good fine carbonation. Sweet rich caramel and toffee malts, a little creamy malt. Rich brandyish and whiskey soaked fruits. Trace of wet wood. Spicy finish. Rich barleywine.3.8

Can. Well this has matured well already, or is better than I recall. The malts are now smooth caramel and cream and integrate very well with the fruity and spicy rye whiskey barrel. Nice touch of oaky vanilla in there. Light semi dry spicy finish. Still a rich barleywine but much more coherent and rounded.

Can ordered from Left Field Beer, Solihull. Forced on my parents as part of Finnish Joulu. Aroma is doughy and figgy. Molasses and treacle. Boozy edge. Murky dark brown. Foamy beige head. Tangy... doughy Christmad cake and dark fruits. Spice. Chox Chocolate. Boozy bitterness. Medium-heavy bodied. Oily. Flat-average carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Warming. Perfect Beer for Finnish style Christmas celebrations. Bring on the Goat.
