Bottle from Leighton at Hazlemere tasting. Aroma is big and dark fruit with a boozy bite. Dark and inky. Foamy tan head. Rich and boozy. Medium body. Creamy. Average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Deceptively straightforward.

Bottle shared by Leighton at SHIG Crashes the Bottle Share at Hazlemere: Poured a deep black with a light brown head. Aroma is smoking, roasted malts, chocolate, licorice. Taste is roasted malts, smoky, boozy, burning, licorice.

Bottle shared in Hazlemere - picked up from Pigs Ear a few years back. Pours black-brown with a modest, foamy beige head. Medium sweet flavour, sturdy roast, some vanilla, chocolate mousse, ash, baking cocoa, cherries. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, more cocoa, fudge, roast, raisins. Really tasty stuff.

Bottle, split at the Hazlemere Movember and chops tasting, thanks to LKS 12/11/21. Black with a good sized tan covering that settles to edgework and a swirl. Nose is dark malts, spice, charr, chocolate, toffee, dried fruits. Taste comprises chocolate, spice, dark malts, mellow roast, fruit cake, molasses. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close Decent easy drinking impy stout.

Bottle shared at high Wycombe tasting. Thanks to Leighton for this one. A dark black brown coloured pour with a a halo fo mid tan head. Aroma is salty roast, black liquorice, cakey malts, dried fruits. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, meaty roast, liquorice, burnt cake, salt lick. Palate is semi sweet, medium full bodied, mellow carbonation.
