568 ml stupid tall can. Pours a very dark brown with full tan head. Aromas of roasted malts and burnt cinnamon. Flavors of cinnamon, metallics, and roasted malts. Not coming together for me. Needs a bigger malt base with more natural sugars.

Draught at Steamworks Mt. Pleasant
Fh churro, 6 4 7 3 13 Dark brown colour. Dominant roasted malt character, the cinnamon is not well integrated, it's a bit clumsy, and also it's less strong than I'd expect from this ABV.

Dark brown. Thin head. There's some cinnamon on the nose...and too much of it on the palate. But let's start with the base. It's thin, weak...I have no idea why breweries make pastry stouts with anything other than massive rich imperial base. This simply can't hold the flavours. There's a bit of sugar, some roast, it's missing richness, it's missing sweetness. The cinnamon comes across very harsh and bitter here, compounding what is already a lack of balance. There's no dough sort of character, either. I mean, I didn't think I would finish the tall can, but I didn't even come close. I dunked this in the sink like a churro in chocolate on a cold winter's night in DF.

On tap at The Magnet, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of cinnamon, light cocoa, and a touch of vanilla. Flavour is surprisingly dry, with cinnamon, dry cocoa and a touch of vanilla. Lots of cinnamon sticks on the finish. Not complex but pleasantly made.

Poured from super tall 568mL can. Dar brown with full light tan head. Cinnamon and brown sugar with mild caramel. Pretty gimmicky, but I think they more or less achieved what they set out to do so I can't really fault them...

[19.2oz can, as Super Tall Caramel Churro Stout]. Pours opaque dark brown with small beige head. Aroma has caramel, cinnamon, brown sugar. Flavour has burnt caramel, crusty malts, cinnamon. Body is a bit top-heavy. Ham-fisted, but overall not bad.

Black, lasting tan head. Nice sugary cinnamon nose and palate, lactose sweetness. Good body. Somewhat intense bitterness (boozy and hops)
