Batch 3, bottled 7/15/20
Anna Valiquette Hill (1902-1993) was our grandfather’s sister, whose memory we honor with her namesake Farmstead® ale crafted with Vermont wildflower honey.
We aged a small portion of the beer aged atop raspberry and cherry pomace from the 2019 harvest season (Elmore Roots and Allenholm Farm, respectively)

Bright and tart, not overly acidic, tangy raspberry, light seedy bitterness. Bittersweet cherry. Lightly carbonated. Nips of sweat. Clean finish, mellow dryness. Super.

Pale salmon and hazy. Thin head. There's a lot of cherry, raspberry, slight tartness. The finish is mainly cherry, soft fruit, and a bit of tartness.

375mL bottle at the brewery, 10/6/23. Peachy-melon-rose color, good clarity. Small, pink-tinged, white head quickly to edges. Oh baby, that ALOT of Brett. Seems to be in the sweet spot right now. Some bright, piquant raspberry and deeper, juicier, mellower cherry add complexity and it's mineral for days on the end. Some rustic grain, bit of barnyard and no alcohol or flaw. Sweet and tart cherry, bright raspberry, juicy Brett and long leather and funk. Light but supple texture with good attenuation. Lingering light sulfur, tons of other mineral and house culture. Excellent, quenching tartness. Lot of fruit character and flavor for only pomace, impressive.

Bottle thanks to Jason. Pours a hazy orange gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is cherry skin, mineral, funk, oak. Slick body, sweet cherry, mineral, funk, nice tartness, enjoyed this.

Poured from 375mL bottle (conditioned since July 15, 2020; thanks Derek & JF). Opaque reddish orange with very minimal white head. Gentle raspberry and cherry with light funk tartness and a hint of honey.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy rusted rose red with almost no head. Aroma is impressively complex, with lots of wild yeast, fermented out wildflower honey, and some gentle cherry and raspberry. Flavour is likewise complex, with a wonderful wild yeast character, complemented by fermented out honey, and gentle berry pomace. Quite dry, but there's just enough residual sweetness here. Very nicely done. Could benefit from a bit more carbonation, as it's rather flat. Very good overall.
