Old rating - A 500ml bottle picked up somewhere on my South Wales trip last year. Past it's best even though the BBD is a month away, although it improves as it settles. Pours a light brown colour with a tiny off white head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, citrus, nut, chocolate & sweet malt. Medium body. Dry sweet caramel finish. Passable in the end.

Can from Wales Ales. Cloudy amber brown with a lively off white foam to start but settles to a nice covering. Aroma of dusty malt, biscuit, blackcurrant, nuts. Taste is somewhat earthy with blackcurrant, light yeast, malt, citrus. Body is a bit on the light side, lively carbonation, semi drying, nice bitterness in the finish. Mixed.

Tap at brewery. Clear Dark Amber. Almost brown color with tan head. Taste is caramel, fruity estery notes, earthy, moderate hops. I don’t know what is Welsh Red Ale, this is easy drinkable.

Can from Stori. Appearance - very lively on opening - mop.the floor job. Cloudy amber, white head. Nose - red fruits but yeasty. Taste - as per the nose. Something not quite right. Palate - light bodied, creamy but yeasty and feels like an infection. Overall - not as the brewer intended.

Thuis uit een halve liter fles in de tuin, na een fietstochtje van 35 km. Mooie donkere amber kleur, helaas geen schuim. Smaakt redelijk, licht bitter, maar is wel een beetje vlak. Geen topper.
