A really full-bodied, thick double IPA, backed full of really multi-dimensional hops. Mosaic and Chinook combine with a pair of South Pacific varieties for a layered amalgamation of citrus, pine and spice. That’s backed up by a peppery spiciness from the buckets of rye added to the grist.

On tap at 4. Opatovina Beer Fest, shared with Marko. Darker golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, light spices and rye in the nose. Moderate malty, rye, caramel, quite strong sweetness and noticable alcohol with rather dry sweet finish. Not bad but one-dimensional.

Tap at Craft Room. Murky amber-brown body, white head. Rye and apricot in the lovely, pungent aroma. Milder taste, rye and some hoppy fruitiness. Soft, sweetish yet dry, without much bitterness. Okay, tasty beer.

Keg at Nags Head. It pours hazy orangey - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, resinous, strewed peach, orange marmalade, bit of spice, earth, sappy, brown bread and candied orange peel. The taste is firmly dry, bitter, boozy warmth upfront, piney, resinous, grapefruit, oily, earthy, Cointreau, bit of spice, bready malts and tannin with a firmly drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice old-school DIPA. Punchy and moreish. Nae bad.
