On draught at Prohibition. Clear golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, citrus and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of floral hops, grapefruit and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

2 month old bottle A: Clear pale gold with 1/2 of white frothy head. Good retention and thick lace. S: A little citrus overwhelmed by vinous apple or grape must. T: Bitter citrus pith hops and some alcohol. Some wine notes as in the nose. Malt comes across as woody. M: Light to medium weight with a slick texture and slightly puckering tart finish. O: Not really what I expect simcoe to taste like. Too old? Any way not bad just not outstanding.

12 oz. A little under two months old. Aroma is potatoes. Pours hazy golden with a one finger bone-white head with decent retention. Taste has a moderate pithy bitterness with mild citrusy flavors. Not much aroma or flavor to speak of, but it's good. Bland but good.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours bright gold with a slight white head. Perhaps a bit translucent. Aroma of green melon and citrus. Med body. Pretty dry. Quite bitter. Lots of citrus, but the green melon is there for me. A little pale malt support. Tasty!
