Our Quackenbush Blonde is a traditional German-Style Kolsch. Originally developed in Cologne, Kolsch is a cold-fermentad ale light in body and with a slightly fruity aroma and minimal hop character. Our Blonde is delightfully refreshing.

From tap. Pours clear and golden yellow. Small white head. Aroma is citrusy and slight grainy. Dry, floral and slight fruity. Bitter and toasted malty. Bitter and dry finish.

On tap at the pump. pours a pale golden straw color. taste is of corn, lemon, slight bitter and watery. but my wife enjoyed this quite a bit so to each his or her own.

Slightly hazy coloured body topped nicely by a white head. Aroma of malt and wheat. Nice citrus flavour throughout with some wheat too. Aftertaste is very clean and fresh...Good Blonde! I sampled this on draught at the Albany Pump Station in Albany, New York on 25 June 2006.

On draught at the brewpub, 4/9/2005. Light pale-gold appearance, intensely clear with no head to be retained. Aroma of soft grass, a shot of light yeast, a touch of bitterness and light grain husk. Flavor is very dry, highly attenuated but not as watery as I expected. Light crispness on the end, with no terribly off flavors. A bit of soapiness, dry grains and maybe a hint of floweriness. Light body, low carbonation.

April 2004. Yeloow fizzy lager with a corny grassy smell. Very bland taste, light sweet malt. If it was minral water, i would say it had character but this....mmmm...
