Bottle shared at Bruceβs in London - thanks to Colin. Pours lightly hazy, yellow-gold with a foamy white head. Well and juicy citrus in the nose, lots of orange, tangerine, pine needles. Medium sweet flavor with a bit of alcohol kick, oily hops, more orange and tangerine, melon, grapefruit. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with good hop resins, mild bitter lemon rind, more tangerine, alcohol, grapefruit. Very decent if a bit punchy.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden amber with a small creamy white head that slowly dissipates with nice lacing on the glass. Aroma has notes of grapefruit and pine, a bit of a tropical note as well. Flavor is lightly sweet, yes there is a honey note in there, and quite bitter, with bitterness lingering to the far finish, although the bitterness diminishes with time. Medium bodied, a bit oily in the mouth. Some warming on the finish. Nice effort.

On tap at Mohawk Bend, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of floral hops galore, grass and some biscuity malts. Flavour brings out loads of floral hops, like a meadow, lots of grass, and some biscuity malts. Good stuff, but overrated.

Hazy orange and copper coloured body with a thick dense tan head. Aroma of bright pungent grassy and citrus hops with a lot of alcohol, metal and quite a bit of resin. Full-bodied; Deep rich malty flavour with a lot of citrus, earth, grass and resiny hop notes, some alcohol, some metal and a lot of good malt balance. Aftertaste is mostly hops, but that makes sense for the style. Overall,a nice imperial ipa, but not outstanding - simply good. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Tustin, California on 03-February-2012 for US$5.49 sampled at home in Washington on 09-March-2012.
