500ml bottle. Cloudy, dark auburn colour with minimally late awakening, small, creamy, fading, off-white to beige head. Yeasty fruity, yeasty spicy and mildly funky, yeasty aroma, notes of morello, blue grapes, cranberry, a touch of plum, rather vinous fruitiness in general, weak, woody, oaky, minimally tannic overtones. Taste is yeasty fruity, slightly yeasty spicy and funky yeasty, slightly woody, caramel malty basis with low residual sweetness, hints of cranberry, blue grapes, a touch of bramble, oak, leather, a tannic touch. Slightly acid thinned, creamy-oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally greasy, simultaneously minimally astringent palate, very fine, soft carbonation. Style adequate, but quite basic in a way, lacks depth and complexity - OK.

Bottle shared in London - cheers! Pours mostly clear brown-gold with a thin, foamy topping. Good and rich, tart and leathery berries abound, light vinegar present, lemony acidity. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Quenching finish, with light acetic bite, more leathery fruits. Sound.

Bottle split at L6 tasting, thanks to Dave, 09/10/19. Hazed chestnut brown with nothing in the way of a head. Nose is tarte berry fruits, cherry skins, funk, damp hay. Taste comprises berry pips, barnyard esters, damp hay, funky berries, mellow acidity. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light tarte edge. Respectable enough Flanders affair.
