Brewed together with Hasbean, from whom we source our coffee exclusively, this beer was made to showcase at Good Beer Hunting's Uppers and Downers London v.2. A combination of flaked oats, beechwood smoked malt, dark fruity English hops (Pilgrim, Minstrel & Bramling Cross) and expertly roasted Haraaz Yemen Natural - Tuffahi, Dawairi and Jaadi Coffee Beans, this beer provides a sure and hearty dose of flavour. It's fuel for your senses and demonstrative of our and Hasbean's mutual love of coffee and beer.

Draught@Panema, Helsinki. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some smoked notes as well as mild wood and some earth to it. Flavour is floral, smoked, some toasted and earthy notes.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pour with a creamy beige head, aroma has slight smoke and a hint of coffee, taste has coffee, served from an ashtray, not one for me.

330ml bottle. Clear, amber colour with average to huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Mildly smoky, peppery spicy and nuttily malty aroma, grassy hoppy overtones, hints of green pepper, black pepper, grilled green chillies, salami. Taste is dry, grassy and slightly bitter hoppy, smoky and peppery spicy, hints of black pepper, green pepper, smoked green chillies, salami; oily-watery texture, minimally overcarbonated. Cannot see the breakfast aspect in this one.

On tap at Protokoll, Berlin on 7th September 2018. Thickly hazy amber with off-white ring-and-film giving scant lacing. Fine citrus aroma. Exquisite blend of smoke and citrus in-mouth, and a similar finish that is disappointingly short. Zingy mouthfeel and a medium body.

Bottle at Craft Islington share - thanks to Mr Tipple. It pours lightly hazy dirty blonde with a small white cap. The aroma is soft, sweet, oily, brioche, cakey malts, orange fruits, fanta and dull smoke. The taste is oily, juicy, tangy, apricot, peach, nectarine, brioche, orangina, fanta, toasted nut, wood and light smoke. Medium body and fine carbonation. Quite an unusual combination of flavours. Not sure it quite works, but fun to try.

Draught @ Panema, Helsinginkatu 11, Helsinki, Finland 00500. [ As Weird Beard Heavy Fuel ].Unclear medium orange yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, meat, smoke, light rubber. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, smoke, rubber, meat, bacon, pale malt. Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Maidenhead Beer Festival 27/7/2018. Deep gold in colour with a slight, off-white, head. Citrus hops, some sweet and slightly smoky bacon character, rich and toasty malts and a dryish finish. Good.

Draught @ Panema, Weird Beard tap takeover. Pours deep golden color with a thin white head. Salty ham in nose, some sweet smoke, malts. Flavor has smoke, salty ham, sweetness, malts. Light but interesting.
