Our signature Black Lager has kept old friends and newcomers alike coming back for more since its debut, and we can’t blame them! We love its clean malt character accentuated by notes of coffee, bakers chocolate, and pumpernickel bread, sessionable ABV, and entrancing silky smooth mouthfeel despite deep, rich, dark color.

Pour on tap at the brewery. Opaque black, nice head, good retention & light lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation & bitter finish as taste. Strong, bitter.

Half liter at the brewery pours a dark black with a cap of white head. Nose is malt and toast and some licorice and toasted nuts. Flavor is malty, bready, burnt toast, some roasted nuts and a little raisin. Dry finish, medium bodied. Well done.

32 oz. Crowler thanks to Willrunforbeer on this one. Flavor is soy, substantial chocolate body, light charcoal, coffee, dark chocolate. Body feels about medium, shows a mild toasty finish. Pretty respectable Schwarzbier. Good flavor.
