Thin frothy white head stayed on a very pale golden body. Lightly fruited & grain aroma. Medium bodied, sharp on the front with smoother light back & cloying aft. Bitter fruit & light citrus tastes to the fore with pale malt & grain over the tongue & a tangy finish.

Cask at GBBF. It pours clear pale gold with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, floral, elderflower, melon and toasty grain. The taste is soft, sweet, oily, elderflower, toasty grain, melon, apple and pepper with a slick, oily finish. Medium body, low carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Not great condition and a bit sweet. Fair.

Cask handpull at the Sulwath Brewery Tap. Citrus aroma, light and not particularly enticing. However the taste brings forth a nice gentle hoppy bitterness, rounded off with a sweeter, maltier taste near the finish. As simple as it gets.

500ml bottle: BBD 16 Jun 15. Poured into an ’Old Speckled Hen’ badged pint vase at home on 2 Feb 15. Obtained from an Edinburgh Aldi during their 2014 Scottish beer promotion (I think I bought 23 different bottles). This one is very pale, clear and bright, golden in colour, the head a steady, thin foam blanket. Grapefruit esters and flavours from the start, but not sour or overpowering. Refreshing and almost sharp on the palate this is one of the better golden citrusy flavoured beers I have had recently. Nice!
