Pours black in colour with a small frothy beige head that settled to a thin film. The aroma is lightly roasted, chocolatey, with some dark berry notes. A moderately to light sweet taste, chocolate, and dark berry flavours with a smooth light dryness and fruity bitterness in the finish.

Cask at Ram, Kingston. Chocolatey malty aroma. Vanilla. Hint of berries. Darkest almost black brown. Thin creamy beige head. Bitter liquorice. Added black coffee. Underlying creamy vanilla. Develops a sour berry edge. A touch of flowery sweetness. Medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Flat carbonation. Long dry astringent. Decent Porter.

[50cl bottle from Longacres, Bagshot.] A glossy black pour with a fast fading beige coloured head; aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and caramel; rather thin in the mouth, but with caramel, chocolate and coffee flavours; then a drier finish with some purple fruit, coffee grounds, and charred grains. Very drinkable.
