Cask at Alexandra, Derby. Pours “bitter brown” with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma has malts and autumn fruits plus a hint of nuts. In the mouth it is sweet and malty to start (if a little watery), but later some bitterness comes through. Flavour is mainly malts and caramel with traces of honey and berry fruits. Finish is slightly fruity. It’s not bad, but I really didn’t get much sense of cherries at any stage.

Cask at the GBBF 2018 day 1 07/08/2018. A reddy nut brown coloured pour with a a halo of white head. Aroma is fake cherry. Raspberry ripple, flavouring. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, cherry cough sweets, raspberry, marzipan. Palate is medium sweet, lowish carbonation.. Quite artificial, but fun.

Cask at GBBF '18, day 1, 07/08/18. Almost clear chestnut brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is big on sweet cherries, brown bread, background fruits. Taste comprises glazed cherries, brown sugar, brown bread, bourbon biscuit crumbs. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Not great ... to sweet and syrupy.

7th August 2018
GBBF Day 1. Cask. Almost clear amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. Lots of cherry bakewell. Touch of orange peel bitterness underneath. A little fake but good fun. Could do with some condition.

Cask at GBBF. It pours amber - brown with a small white head. The aroma is earthy, sweet, artificial, cherry, sugary, oily, perfumed and kirsch. The taste is soft, sweet, oily, fake cherry, kirsch, fruit cake, earthy and cherryade with slick, sweet finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit fake tasting. Fair at best.
