Our quartet of Brut IPAs were team favourites last year, and with On The Bubble we aim to continue that trend. Sabro, Citra, Azacca and Chinook combine with distinct, clean tropical fruit notes layered upon a crisp base. The beer is spun on oak, bringing a touch of sweetness and a moreish dry finish.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - cloudy yellow with a thin head that disappears quickly. Low carbonation perhaps. Nose - perhaps coconut and dank guava and passionfruit. Almonds and vanilla. Taste - tinned pineapple with a coconut and almond backdrop. Possibly something a bit furniture polish like - but in a good way. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Dry, buttery and nutty on the finish. Overall - quite challenging but very good. A beer of individual personality.

440ml can - Pours a hazy pale yellow colour with a small white head that settled. Aroma is fruity and light sweet malts; passionfruit, mandarin and peach. A light sweet taste, crisp malts, sweet citrus, pineapple and coconut flavours with drying light woody tannins in the finish.

Pours a light yellow, almost clear, no head. Aroma is crisp malts, followed by full on sabro which brings loads of tropical fruit, especially passion fruit and guava, peach and pineapple. Light to medium body. Flavour is crisp, not very sweet, very light malt profile. Fruity hops, especially stone fruit, mango, passion fruit. Again sabro shines. Medium bitterness. Finish is dry, bitter and fruity. Very nice, one of the best brut IPAs I've had.

Can. Hazy yellowish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has a good fine minerally crisp snap. Slightly thin malts, but sweet enough. Hops are a delight with Sabro leading a crisp fruity bite, bright pineapple into bright floral tangerine - mandarin that develops a whisper of lime and mild bitterness. Crisp pine runs throughout. Not sure what 'Spun on Oak' entails but I fancy there a trace of vanilla oak here and perhaps a little dry woody bitterness in the aftertaste. Crisp dry finish leaves a bright fruity linger. The Brut IPA fad was over too quickly for me, would be great if Siren could lead the comeback.

White foamy head left a hazy pale lemon coloured still body. Lemon & zest aroma. Medium bodied, sharp on the tongue with a short dry, clean back. Bitter zesty citrus, lemon, white wine, yeast & confectionery tastes.
