Bottle split at the pre GBBF Shindig '18, thanks, 04/08/18. Lightly hazed golden orange with a well presented off white covering. Nose is tangy fruit esters, straw, light spice, caramel. Taste comprises fruit rinds, light spice, dusty fruits, hay, caramel, honey, bitter sweet. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced warming boost. Ok tripel ... not overly sweet but ultimately lacking depth for the ABV.

At a tasting, medium bubbly head, hazy darkish yellow with some small floaties, aroma of butterscotch, minerals, candy and butter in back, butterscotch flavor, light caramel, nutty hint, coarse light bitterness. Not good, also quite amateurish.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Honey and hot baked bread aromas. Sweet and sharp with honey and caramel upfront turning to slightly cloying sourdough before the medium length hot earth finish. I wanted to like this one more...
