The big little beer. Big on flavour, easy on abv. Distinctive American hop character. Depth and body from the rye. Be surprised, be happy.

330 ml can, from Ales By Mail. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, moderate to small white head. Moderate aroma of piney and fruity American hops Light bodied. The flavour is moderately fruity first, with some resin, then a sharp and very distinct and medicinal bitterness takes over, and lasts through the long aftertaste. The beer has not enough body to support the bitterness.

Can, shared with ogivlado. Clear golden body, white head. Aroma, dank, onion, mild tropical... very much fresh. Not quite my type, but likable! Taste... huh, milder than expected, all too soft, thin malty backbone, particularly considering the rye, which does give some flavor and not much else, with the same oniony meets vaguely fruity hoppiness. But still, somehow, remains likable in the end. It just somehow works altogether - a hallmark of a well executed beer, so props for that!

33cl can from Beer52.com. Straw coloured with a loose white head; grapefruit aroma; resinous and oily in the mouth with a firm resinous bitterness and a citrus taste; then a dry finish with a hint of spice.

Can from M&S in Rickmansworth, Herts. A hazy golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, grapefruit aroma. Tastes Hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, crisp and refreshing on a hot day like today. Nice one from Ilkley.
