Can that pours a real dark brown colour, almost black with hardly any ruby highlights. The head is big for the alcohol content, mocha-coloured with good retention and nice thin creamy-dirty lacing. Roasted malt base with some vanilla notes and hints of fruitiness (cherries mostly). The cacao comes out in the taste, over the burnt barley, creating some strong bitterness that lingers. The cinnamon and other spices heat up in the finish. Everything is nicely balanced. Quite an enjoyable spicy Imperial Stout.
