440ml can. Pours very dark brown with a frothy tan head, unfortunately not lasting too long. Aroma of coffee and sweet vanilla, toffee. Taste of roasted coffee beans, sweet vanilla, milk chocolate, toffee, caramel, dark malts and a hint of dark fruits. Although really nice I wasn't prepared for how sweet this was. Expected a big bitter coffee beer but the sweetness overrides everything here.

Can at home, thanks to the Wingman for the hook up, 15/07/18. Extremely dark mahogany brown verging on black with a well presented khaki covering. Nose is sweet malts, mellow coffee bean, vanilla essence, brown sugar melt, molasses, toffee fudge. Taste comprises toffee brownies, sweet malts, toasted brown sugar, subtle black peppery spice, coffee grinds, shades of tiramisu coffee mix. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid for the style but dropped this from a 3.7 to 3.6 as overly sweet and lacking some balance in this respect.

Can, picked up at the brewery. Dark, reddish brown. Soft haze. Slimmest beige head. Nose has caramel truffle. Milky coffee. Vanilla pod. Hint of berry fruits. Taste is super sweet. Lip sticking and milky. Some coffee grind bitterness. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Sugary coffee to finish. Nice enough, but wow, this is tooth meltingly sweet.

On tap at Trembling Madness, York 19 June 2018. Deep brown in colour with a thin, off-white, head. Raisins, some chocolate, leafy hops, touch of berry fruit, sweetish malts, leading to a gentle finish. Good.

Can from Salt Horse. Dense brown body with a thin beige head. Steady carbonation. Sticky lacing. Aroma of sultanas and filter coffee. Flavour of flat Coca-Cola and brown sugar. Medium to full body with a chewy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. It’s very tasty but less complex than I’d hoped it would be.

Keg at the barrelstore. Pours dark red brown with a thin off white head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, caramel and hazelnut. Taste is a lovely sweet coffee mocha. Not too sweet though. Nice and drinkable. Like it.
