Keg at the Colossus taproom, Porto, 28/10/22. Black with a light tan swirl, some lacing ensues. Nose is chocolate, toffee, dried fruit rinds, liquorice. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, mellow roast, cocoa powder, charr. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close touched with a mellow boost. Passable sipper ... pretty basic and lacking depth for the style/ABV.

330ml bottle @ Duque Brewpub, Lisbon. Pours black with thinning tan head. Aroma has dark malts, liquorice. Oily on the palate, gentle body with fairly low carbonation. Rich liquorice and dark malt provide the general character, lighter body than expected, drinks nicely, fairly easy-going for the strength and straightforward with little complexity. Not bad at all.
