440ml can shared with the KL tasting crew. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken tan head. The aroma is big roasty malt, caramel, toffee, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, light spicy. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich, oily, chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, hazelnut, herbal palate. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation and an oily mouthfeel.

Bottle @Ulfborg Tasting. Black with small beige head. Cinnamon, menthol-like aroma. Boozy, cinnamon flavour, some licorice too. Off balance, cinnamon overload.

Draft. Opaque black body with a dark tan head. Aroma of vanilla, dark chocolate, cinnamon, lactose. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Taste of sugar, lactose with notes of chocolate and salt. Then the cinnamon pops up in the finish. Nicely balanced and easy drinking. Enjoyable.

Bottle 65 cl. Pours thick and syrupy, opaque black with a tiny, light brown head. Sweet roast aroma, while I don’t pick up any cinnamon. Rich body, richer than what you’d expect in a 7% stout. The lactose doesn’t really stand out as it most often does but appears well integrated in the beer as a whole. Everything is just well balanced, smooth, pleasant and very drinkable. 100217
