Sample (thanks omhper!). Black colour, small brown. head. Aroma is big time ashes, some alcohol and mild dried fruits. Flavour is ashes, some roasted malts, dried fruits and some alcohol. Too boozy and too ashy.

Bottled, from the brewery (as Bierbank Russian Imperial Stout, 11.5%) Black, small beige head. Peppery nose with chocolate and licorice. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate and black pepper. Peppery warming finish. Rather elegant for an Imperial Stout.

330mL bottle, courtesy of alex_leit (thanks Alex!), pours black with a large tan head. Nose brings out medium roasted malt, with light caramel and some pronounced hoppiness. Flavour is along the same lines, with medium roast, some vinous character, and oxidation. Seems a bit infected, with the sour, vinous notes. A little balsamic on the finish. Problematic bottle, it seems.

Pours dark brown with a beige head. Chocolaty hoppy berry aroma. Taste dry chocolate, cocoa, not really sweet. Bit of booze. Roasty and fry. Vinious. Bitter herbal finish.
