Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: glossy yellow color with a light cloudiness in the center; finger and a half's worth of white foamy head slid off to leave some light lace
Aroma: lemongrass, herbal, semi-funky, sweet oats, hay, floral tones, earthy, and a light tart character
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together in a tart/funky sweet character; finishes with a funky/herbal sweet oaty/earthy tone
Texture: light to medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper, some smoothness but also a light tart sting hits the tongue (it's extremely and barely noticeable but I noticed it)
Overall: nicely done saison very worthy of having again.

Shared 500ml bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small short-lasting white head. Aroma of tart fruit, yeast, funk. Taste follows nose with lemon and peach notes, grass, spice. Good stuff.

Hazy golden coloured body with a large-ish, three centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of grass, hay, spelt or quinoa, cardboard, funk, alcohol and a touch of citrus - decent, but quite a bit funky, and not in a good way. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy flavour with a lot of hay, must and oats, which are definitely noticeable here. Aftertaste shows some of the lemon and citrus flavours, but the majority shows funky grain, quinoa or spelt and a dry, yeastie quality near the end. Overall, a pretty poor beer with the funky malt flavours that dominate and show too much must, cardboard and off-flavours for this to be good at all, plus at the price, definitely worth passing up all of these offerings. I’m not quite sure why these are rated so highly, this is not a good beer. I sampled this tall 50 cL bottle purchased a few hours ago at New Beer Distributors in New York, New York for US$7,25 on 10-June-2017 sampled in my hotel room here in Midtown Manhattan on 10-June-2017.

Bottle - Batch 7 actually, but label says it is with oats. Pours clear golden, small white head, good lacing. Aroma is lemon, grass, tangerine, passion fruit, light dust. Flavor is dry, very light tartness, hints of funk. Bright and full of citrus. Light body. Super pleasant.

Draught at Lord Hobo, 4/22/16.
A very bright, deep copper-golden with a gentle to moderate haze and a small white head atop that quickly subsides.
There’s almost never any head retention in their beers and I wonder why? This even has oats which should boost head retention. Must be the water? Dunno. Anyways, it smells delightful. Full of cereals and lightly tart lactic notes, with soft mango-nectarine fruitiness and just a touch of honey-caramel.
In the mouth, it’s watery, but with a pleasantly tight, low carbonation. Slick-to-lightly grainy at times texture works perfectly with the wateriness, allowing massive drinkability and the mild tartness gives just enough bite on the finish. Light fruit consists of sour peaches, nectarines and light mango all adding complexity and brightness. Some very light bread and chewy grain notes modestly add body. Awesome.
