Hazy, amber, slightly dull. Thick head. This has a yeasty nose. Earthy mushroomy hop. Ok balance in the finish. The styrians show but the yeast leaves a bit too much stickiness for me.

Draught at the brewery, 12/30/15.
Light amber-golden beer with a small white head showing moderate retention. Little bit of a chill-haze to it.
Tons of spicy yeast phenolics in the nose with a good deal of light raisin and biscuit character from the malts. Pear, apple, light clove and tons of black pepper with no alcohol or flaws.
Lightly sweet up front, with cookies, sweet bread and applesauce-like sweetness being quickly dried out by the strong yeast phenols. Clove, varied pepper notes and a strong dose of dry vanilla-like character through the middle, ending with pear, apple and even a mild touch of citrus and grass. Texture is fairly malty, though there is some "hardness" from the specialty malts and the carbonation is quite high. Nonetheless, this is very clean, with no alcohol and no banana or heavy clove (though maybe a bit too heavy on the anise-character).

Tap. Pours hazy orange Amber, small beige head, good lacing. Aroma is light, some pepper and honey. Flavor is light sweet, very light bitter, hint of bubblegum, anise. Medium body. Fine for what it is, but nothing exciting

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a slightly hazy deep copper body that supports a thin light tan head. The aroma offers up sweet Belgian yeasty spices, a sliver of cane sugar and then pineapple and pear fruitiness. The taste is smooth and supple with a sweet rush of soft pineapple and pear fruitiness blended with yeasty spices. It gets a little cracker like to midway. Nice.
