Pale amber-golden color and small white head and lace. Perfumic fruity aroma. Light-bodied. Candy fruity, citrus. Odd shallow dipa.

Can (7/15/20) pour from Fort Point Market, Boston. Appearance is deeply hazy yellow with nice sparkle, 3-finger width foamy white head with excellent retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is bitter resin, cracker malts, milder tart fruit and citrus. Taste follows aroma along with Belgian yeast. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, the Belgian yeast gives this a different angle but the base beer is highly conventional.

Pours a hazy, banana-lemon yellow, with minimal head. Aroma has tropical and citrus fruits, some pine/spruce hops. Flavor follows, along with a smooth, light sweetness. Pretty good.

Draught at the brewery, 3/24/18.
Warm-toned, sunny orange with moderate haze and a white head fading to a ring.
Soft, mild plaster-like yeast character with strong mango. Not hugely aromatic, the yeast having, perhaps, something to do with that. But solid and without any resin or alcohol. Light pineapple juice as it warms and low malt character. Clean.
Soft, dry, mild with a lightly tangy grapefruit and pineapple character. Sweet honey-like malt is succulent and well-done, drying out nicely on the end. Great bitterness which easily balances and adds juicy grapefruit but doesn't overload the palate. Low, engaging carbonation and no alcohol or flaw.

5 oz. draft at the source. Hazy orange appearance. Aroma is melons, grapefruit zest, tropical. Flavor is lightly sweet, plenty of juice with almost no bitterness. Medium plus body, creamy, a little yeasty. Nice brew! Tasty!

A hazed golden ale with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with loads of citrusy floral hops, light tropical fruits, cream, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with loads of citrusy resinous floral hops, white grapefruit, light mineral notes, very nice and fragrant. On tap at brewery.

On tap at Blackback Pub, Waterbury, VT.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-hazy burnt orange color with a slight transparency about it. Carbonation wants to be seen but remains mildly hazy through the look. Semi-thin white coat of a head quickly dissipated leaving barely any lacing sticking to the glass.
The smell had some sweet orange juice like pulpiness bursting into a sly amount of bitter rind. Subdued malts make an effort to balance.
The taste was mainly sweet with a thorough balancing sliding sweet candy - like aftertaste. Smooth sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing a mild sweet feel, not cloying sliding on my tongue.
Overall, I’d say this was a really nice Imperial IPA that I would have again. Might lean to the sweeter side, but that could be due to a Belgian yeast that was used, not sure.
