Polotmavý

Keg at IMBC. It pours rich copper with a thick foamy white head. The aroma is malt driven, brown bread, sticky, toffee, toasted nut and light spice. The taste is dry, bitter, leather, brown bread, toasted nut, wood, bit of alcohol, spice and leather with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent. Nice malty lagerbier.

Keg at the indy man beer con, session 5. A reddy amber coloured pour with a a frothy beige head. Aroma is nice raisin, amber malts, nutty,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, crisp, raisin, little cakey, light toffee and chalky. Palate is semi sweet airy carbonation, crisp finish.

Clear amber, lovely condition, with a huge, off-white head that shows strong retention.
Bread and caramel show both base and specialty malt, while not being overdone on the latter. Some fruitiness from malt shows through with lingering caramel and very light mineral-like yeast softness on the end. No alcohol or flaw.
Dry, fruity, clean and drinkable in the mouth with mineral-like lager yeast. Ultra clean, yet not "sterile" feeling; just well-lagered. Light apple and herbal notes grace the finish with tight, ample carbonation and good attenuation. Very soft, malty texture. Not terribly familiar with the style, but pretty surprised at the lower ratings as I thought this was excellent, bright, malty, dry and clean.

Ugly haze, not much head. Dull amber-brown. Not a good like. Smells nice, caramelly crackery malts. Sweet and with a soft caramel and just a touch of toastiness. Still something not quite right.

In my extensive polotmavy experience this one rates about average. Hazy maroon pour with great head and lacing. Light crisp finish. Note of mash malt. Tap at Deep Ellum.

Pours nice orange harvest brown into a shaker. Weak head recedes to mottle surface. Sweet mild roasted nut aromas. Soft with sour apple and aging vegetables upfront turning to an earthy bitter finish.
