Can from Covenhoven: pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is a touch honey (and the herbalness that comes with it), tropical fruit, citrus. Taste is fairly bitter, somewhat sweet. Smooth and creamy body. Lingering bitter aftertaste. Interesting.

Taster pour at the source. Appearance is cloudy dark yellow with no sparkle, thin ring of off-white head with decent retention. Aroma is citrus. Taste is citrus, grape, honey, and an elusive sweetness. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and a dry, bitter finish. Overall, a bit odd--the sweetness in the taste and aroma is a bit strange.

Pours a cloudy amber from a can. Big dry hopped citrus and dank pine aroma. Almost too hoppy on the first sip, turns nicely citrusy and piney. Good beer.

Batch 1 draught at the brewery, 9/21/17.
Moderately to fully hazy, bright beeswax to pencil yellow-golden. White head atop is medium-sized and shows moderate retention.
Melon, bubble gum, sweet honey-like malt and mango juiciness all make for the most vibrant, unique IPA NS has done in a while. Very little sign of the honey, but the English/Vermont yeast they used is brimming forth. No alcohol or flaw.
Quite dry yet fairly softly malted w melon, bubble fum, pineapple and mango. A bit of bitterness and citrus flares up to balance and then passes. Yeasty esters, mango, honey and light dough lingering w no alcohol and little/no resin. Engaging carbonation.

From notes, 16 oz. can dated 9/20/17 yellow with a fluffy off white head. Aroma is citrus, honey, floral hops. Taste is nice, honey balances the bitterness and citrus comes through. Nice beer.

16 oz. can in a trade with Chalumeaux. Nearly every IPA New England looks the same this year. Aroma shows moderate honey, dusty yeast, lupulin powder, and maybe a earthy hint. Flavor is pretty well balanced between honey and the lupulin powder. Bitterness is here but held back by the honey. Alcohol is restrained. This is the best beer I have had from Night Shift in a long while. It is almost like they used a different yeast.
