Draught pint at the brewery, 8/4/17.
Light haze in this soft, apricot-honey-gold body. White head atop is medium-sized and shows moderate to moderately-low retention.
Soft hops in the nose show earthy, mossy, lightly green qualities and the malt is presented more forward, adding freshly baked biscuits and even a touch of toasted grain. It's clean, which is the important part, given that I take "young lager" to mean it's not been lagered very long (why would you do that??). I guess this is something I'm unfamiliar with.
In the mouth there's some excess bitterness and nuttiness that could be either hop derived or "too much yeast in solution"-derived (or both of course). Other than that, it's lovely and shows a soft, almost creamy texture with tight carbonation leading to a zippy finish alive with yellow fruit, honey and lightly toasted grains.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at the brewery. Pours clear yellow, lightly effervescent, with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds pale bread, biscuits and cereal, perhaps a little ripening lemon. Light sweet flavour with more basic bready character, light husky bitterness, straw, faint honey. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with more rounded bready character, more crisp biscuits, subtle dough, white bread crust, crunchy hay. A nice lager overall.
