Traditional German wheat ale that is kettle soured for a tart flavor profile and thirst quenching finish. Using in-season blackberries, this variant is loaded with bright berry flavor and pours a deep pinkish hue.

Can from the Packie, Slightly cloudy brick red with a hint of purple and a good sized but short lived pink tinged head. The nose initially has a hint of parmesan but that dissipated quickly. Light lemon lots of berry but surprisingly could use a bit more tartness.

Draught at Canary Square, 1/13/19.
Cloudy, blackberry/cranberry-red appearance with a small, pinkish head that slowly fades to a ring.
Nose is bright, yet rounded by the integrated acidity and cereal/biscuit from the wheat. No excessive acidity nor any alcohol or flaw.
Great mix of berry and wheat with well-integrated lactic character and the fruit very well-attenuated. Soft, with good cereal notes adding roundness and depth as carbonation is low but tight. Quite flavorful, with very enjoyable, real fruit character and no alcohol or flaw.

Sampled 4 oz. draft at the brewery. (Right now in my hand) Appearance is ruby or hazy purple. The aroma has blackberry, cream of wheat, mild Lactic acid. The flavor shows me cream of wheat body with tart black berries in the finish. Acid is a bit sharper in this version than in others in the series.

Pours hazy ruby into a shaker. Pink head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Mild lemon aromas. Crisp with lemon and dusty lacto front to back. Mild and sadly underwhelming.
