Draught at the brewery, 11/10/18.
Ebony, good clarity, small, light tan head fades steadily to a ring.
Straightforward coffee and vanilla from the roasted barley gives good acidity and a robust, rich aroma, if rather straightforward. Clean, light mineral, ash, prune and hints of caramel and milk chocolate on the finish, with warming.
In the mouth it's flavorful and roasty with a soft, slick texture and moderate, engaging carbonation. Hints of soy, vanilla and prune with plentiful coffee character and lingering dark chocolate. Malty yet very well-attenuated. Another straightforward but solid offering from their Pilot brewery.

at the brewery in July 4th 2014. This is a dry stout with medium carbonation some sugar and roasted malt. I don’t particularly taste the oyster.good rich palate a little sweet.
