Draught at the brewery, Spring 2011.
Good clarity and a light amber-to-brass-golden color with a small, reasonably well-retained, off-white head.
Rich grains in the nose balance strong fruity esters and notes of light caramel, honey and soft biscuit. Gentle hops add herbal and floral notes contributing to a gentle, but still aromatic, balanced, clean nose.
In the mouth it's moderately malty, with more flavor than texture and alongside tight carbonation and light graininess from the malt, as well as lightly bitter, fresh, herbal hops, it produces a very crisp, bright, quenching finish. Hints of grapefruit zest and lemon linger on the finish with soft bread, honey and herbs.
