A colloquialism from Franconia Germany meaning "small mug", Seidla is an unfiltered and naturally carbonated kellerbier. An intricate balance of pilsner malt and Czech and German noble hops results in notes of fresh hay and biscuit mixed with a floral hop character and light bitterness. Soft mouthfeel and crisp finish, very sessionable.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: burnt copper color almost fully cloudy but some faint translucency along the sides of the glass with a finger and a quarter of white foamy head which tapered off nicely and left some light wispy lace
Aroma: hay/flora/clean meadows scents with a light biscuity malt and a little honey in there
Flavor: takes the prior noted aromas to mesh together in a malty, floral and earthy way then adds in a little bit of hop spice; finishes clean and malty smooth
Texture: medium bodied, very sessionable; pretty smooth along the tongue; nothing distracting anywhere; good carb
Overall: seems to lean towards a German pilsener, right? I think so and it's one I would return to.

Pour is a cloudy gold with a large white head. Aroma is a biscuit malt with grassy hops. Flavor is the same. Lots of biscuit malt with some grassy, spicy and herbal hops. Finish leaves some of the hops on the tongue. Pretty tasty.

Sample at the roost pours a clear gold, cloudy white head. Nose has corn and grain, continental hop, grassy in that way. Corn and grain and straw. Oily hop. Medium bodied and well balanced.

Pours cloudy gold into a willi. Bright white soapy head with medium retention recedes to hug rim leaving spot lacing. Hay and biscuit aromas. Crisp with sweet straw and lemongrass upfront turning to earthy bitter leaves in the dry, lasting finish.

16 oz. can. Aroma has a light grain and a light Euro hops aroma. Bread malt, leads off the flavor with yeast and a light hop in the finish. Lots of pale malt balanced nice with a crisp texture. Very clean finish. Nice!

Can pour shared by AirForceHops from the brewery--thanks, Chris! Clear golden yellow with no sparkle, ring of head, trace lacing. Aroma is balanced pilsner malt, hay, florals and hint of spice. Taste is strong pilsner malt, late hay. Smooth, fairly thin texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Aroma is super interesting; taste less so with more pilsner than I love. Well made.

Brewery draught, 4/8/22. Hint of haze in this pale-yellow-golden beer with ample, white head atop showing moderate-to-strong retention. Crisp, clean and malty with great attenuation and moderate, peppery and floral bitterness. Quite a bit going on for its size. Strong mineral, biscuit and dough with no alcohol or flaw. Great balance with a doughy-to-biscuity malt texture and ample, floral bitterness with lingering acidity and hints of honey and mineral. Easy drinking but quite flavorful for its size. Clean.
