Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: bronzed yellow color with a sly transparency and a two finger white foamy head which trailed off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: wet grains, floral/herbal tones, sweet smoke, some honey, and a dose of bready malts
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fair and balanced smoky bready and herbal quality; finishes smoky smooth with a touch of herbal character
Texture: light to medium bodied; sessionable; very smooth along the tongue; nice even flow of soothing smoke from the front to the back
Overall: that was a different way of doing a smoked beer and I liked that very much despite there wasn't any bacon/ham-like features but yes, I'm okay with that and would revisit this one.

16oz can, clear gold, wispy white head.  Nose has plenty of smoke and honey and malt.  Flavors same.  Tinny.  Not sure if that's the malt or the smoke.  Dry finish. Beery.  6 3 6 3 12

Smoke is very light here. A lot more of a helles than a smoked beer. Golden pour without much head. Light crisp finish.

Canned 10/18/22, drunk 11/26/22. Clear, bright, brassy-blonde-golden with a large, white head that steadily recedes to spotty cover. Smoke and rich honey-like malt with rustic, cereal-like grain is very well-balanced in the nose. Mineral, pepper and a touch of herbal hop character round it out. Tends malty with restrained, but still aromatic smoke. No huge intensity/bacon/campfire or anything like that, but maybe a bit smokier than Schlenkerla helles. Clean, no alcohol or flaw noted. Rich and malty but well-attenuated with lovely waves of cereal grain and rustic, biscuity malt. Honey, bread dough and soft, fanciful smokiness with a great texture but good dryness on the end from a combination of peppery smoke phenol and mildly bitter, herbal hop. Clean and no alcohol or flaw noted. Drinks pretty big for its size, which is always impressive. Quite satisfying/quenching.
