This brassy looking mead is rich and full bodied. The nose is that of honeyed nuts with a soft fruitiness. There is a big sweetness that isn't cloying due to a balance of tannin and alcohol warmth.

375 ml bottle. Thanks ClarkVV on the share. Aroma has honey mixed with earthy hints. Flavor shows the earthy hint but it doesn’t remind me of nuts. Nice texture. Not my favorite mead but good.

375mL 2022 bottle, drunk 11/11/22. Vegetal, sherry-like oxidation. Mineral, earth, ester and of course, honey, though oddly not all that intense, or at least not too sweet. Clean, not boozey. Sweet, but spicy and drying out quickly with a good water element. Oh yeah, there's a spice character, maybe it's the caramelization? on the finish that is just divine. Oddly light and drinkable, despite its size. Love the spice, despite any actual spice. Delicate and rich, light oxidation, some vanilla. Kuhnhenn still killin' it with the meads!
