Pours a slightly hazy, pale golden yellow, with smallish head. Aroma is smoke, grass, some pine. Flavor follows, with some woodiness. Crisp, clean mouthfeel.

Autumn 2022 canning, drunk 10/20/22. Clear, bright, brass-golden. Large, white head steadily recedes to cover. First notes are a bit doughy, with light, dainty smoke adding hints of pepper and wood. A bit of fruitiness and light honey-like malt, as well. Touch of mineral. Seems quite restrained, lighter, but clean and the initial doughy note is fully passing. Peppery hop with light hints of smoke, nice and subtle, very, very much in the vein of Schlenkerla Helles. Malty, but good attenuation, with plentiful honey-like character and lots of white bread. Loving the bitterness on the finish, which fully balances and keeps it refreshing. Light mineral and no alcohol or flaw noted. Looking forward to letting a few of these sit cold for a few months. So far that has greatly improved TH's lagers. And this one is already solid when fresh.

Can at the house on Martha’s Vineyard. Thanks to Sander! Pours clear yellow-gold with a modest, creamy white head. Lightly sweet, fairly dry, good pale smoke character, a little ham, pale biscuits. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean, dry finish, mellow sweet biscuits, lingering smoke, campfire, dried ham. Excellent beer.

Pours a nice clear straw from a can, thick head. Nice crisp smoky aroma over grass, similar flavor with a fair amount of sweetness, some campfire. Pretty good beer.
