Happy Mother's Day! 3/28/23 44/1020 Initial taste is nice, sweet, raisin, honey but the finish has an astringent lingering aftertaste which does not belong. Ouch.

Bottle # 12/648. Color is darker then the almond variation. Aroma is wonderful rum and soft raisins. Dark fruit through out. Really easy rum warming after the sip. Very easy to drink.

Bottle (2/22/21) pour. It's a clear brown (cola/root beer) with nice sparkle, nice viscosity, ring of beige head and no lacing. Aroma is strong caramel, rum, raisin and milder vanilla. Taste is strong vanilla, raisin, rum, caramel and late creaminess. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation, mild alcohol heat and finish as taste. Overall, really smooth, good strength and good complexity.

500mL bottled 2/22/21, #12/648, drunk 7/30/22. Clear, medium-dark amber with a small ring of beige bubbles. Wow that's nice! Soft, even, rich, rum but not sharp/harsh which is impressive. Lovely vanilla with caramel and very light raisin notes. Some light apple and other fruity yeast notes with dates and honey. Amazing how little booze is noticeable in these. Rum raisin and strong vanilla with some light alcohol and rich rum character. Barrel adds spice and tea-like notes with light orange rind. Not as thick/rich body as the base honey pot - almond we just had. A touch of oxidation on the very end with light alcohol and rum spice with some honey sweetness, as well.

2/22/21 12/648 aroma is rum, raisin, vanilla. Taste is smooth, love the rum flavor, notes of vanilla, smooth, very delicious.
