The hot dog. It feeds the hand that bites it. AND, what do hot dogs and beer have in common? BASEBALL! It’s no secret that we LOVE baseball here at Loyal Foe. But, speaking of secrets…. It may or may not be true that Episode VIII was dreamed up during a homebrew fueled examination of every base that Rickey Henderson ever stole. So, we began brainstorming and we decided that a starting gravity of 1.406 was the answer. BUT, our lawyer said we couldn’t make a 52% abv beer. Go figure. Sip this slowly and self-affirm, “Today I Am The Greatest Of All Time.”

Can from the brewery, drunk 3/11/23. Heavily hazy to turbid, bronze golden. Small, white head, moderate retention. Juicy, fruity, cranberry, clementine, orange juice and vanilla with biscuit and soft, white bread. Dont get the big bitterness that Chris is talking about. Juicy, soft, malty, well-attenuated. Pretty well-done. Lingering juice.

16 oz. can in a trade with ClarkVV, thank you! Aroma shows zesty orange, grapefruit. Flavor shows the orange and the grapefruit with a harsh bitter, grapefruit rind. I don’t dislike it. It just shows a sharper then normal bitterness.
