02,02.2018 Słodki słodowy aromat oraz zapach suszonych jabłek. Rubinowe piana gęsta drobno pęcherzykowata znikająca. W smaku słód, suszone owoce, słodki trochę winny smak. Alkohol nie wyczuwalny, rozgrzewający przełyk. Niskie nagazowanie.

Bottle from the Polish Delicatessen, opposite the Barum Top Inn, Halifax. Darker amber-red with a head. There's lots of alcohol in this brew's aroma and taste, fused with some caramels, although the sum of its parts are not as sticky-sweet as other Barley Wines of this ilk.

Pigs Ear afterparty at Chez Smith. Almost clear amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy caramel malts, little cream, some oxidised tasting caramel. Touches of paper and spice. Light dry finish brings ripe citrus. Lacks any maturity or depth but it's not awful by any stretch.

Bottle split at LKS, thanks to Kenny, 05/12/17. Clear golden amber with a decent light beige head. Nose is sweet, brown bread, grassy, toffee, steewd fruits. Taste comprises sweet notes, caramel, honey glaze, dried fruits, sticky toffee. Full nodied, light oily feel, semi drying close with a rising boost. This was an average sipper of a barley wine and a touch 1D, but I don't feel it deserves the 2.95 overall score it rides at, at the time of my rating.

Bottle shared in Hackney - thanks to Kenny. Pours mostly clear with a creamy, tan head. The aroma holds ripe orange, bready malts, some toffee. Medium to heavy sweet flavour, lots of berries, grape, brown bread, low bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, some toasted sugars, more brown bread, berries. Good fun.
