330ml bottle. Hazy amber colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Barley Wine-like, caramel malty and hoppy aroma, hints of toffee, almond, marzipan, a touch of candied lemon zest, candied orange zest. Taste is slightly dry, bitter, citrusy hoppy, minimally sweet, caramel malty, notes of lemon, hints of almond, marzipan, a touch of toffee, minimally papery overtones. Not the freshest example, i have to admit...

330 ml bottle, from Ales By Mail. ABV is 9.5%. Hops are Simcoe and Galaxy. Orange colour, minimal head, slightly off-white. Aroma of piney and grapefruity hops, some dust. Soft mouthfeel, moderate carbonation. The flavour has a slight sweetness, not too much. A little fruit and dust, with a sharp bitterness in the finish. Not the best beer from Saltaire.

Bottle from Saltaire Brewery, Shipley. Golden with a thin head. Certainly strong tasting, and this is what you notice most, but there’s a healthy enough fruitiness to give this ale some character.

Appearance- amber-infused orange, with a small off-white head. Aroma- lots of hoppy fruity notes- orange and pineapple dominate, pine hints, raisin and other dark fruit hints, nutty malty undertones. Taste- bitter hops, chewy fruit, pretty booze-heavy, fruity Christmas cake, sweet sugary boozy fruit, sticky caramel malt, treacle toffee finish. Intense, good.
