330ml can from Beer52. Pours near black with tanned head which fades. Aroma of a bounty bar dialled up to 10 with some dustiness. Flavour, on the one hand is more complex than a liquid bounty bar, but on the other there is an artificially sweet and cloying edge. The chocolate and coconut is there but the tonka and vanilla seem to combine at the point at wish it becomes cloying. There is a roasty bitterness in the finish which helps. Its certainly not a bad beer, just below average for a 6% stout. I think my issue is my expectation was higher.

330ml can via Beer52: BB 4th September 2026. Drank at Auntie Sue's on 14th November 2024. Almost black in colour, wispy tanned head that soon dispersed. Coconut and chocolate flavours, it isn't quite a liquid Bounty Chocolate bar but it's fairly close!

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy ink black pour with a tight chocolate coloured head that vanished in the blink of an eye; sniffing through the nose gives a slightly unpleasant tanka bean aroma, but in the mouth there is a strong Bounty Bar aroma before you sip; the body is oily and chocolatey with a coconut flavour; then a dry finish with syrupy chocolate and an obvious hit of alcohol that warms the belly. An interesting beer, but hard to score - started off with the looks of a 5, but soon ended up as a poor 2.
