5th beer in my mini-tasting with Bertie (my 11 year old Border Collie), Margie is at the Shrewsbury Flower Show with friends. 9th August 2024, late afternoon, 500ml bottle from Beers of Europe; BBE March 2025. Poured into a UK pint vase shaped glass in my dining room. Slight haze to my amber pour, beige topping. Semi-sweet malty front, not a lot of hop action early on, they kick in a bit later. Caramel like sweetness gives way to some bittering hop in the finish, no citrus fruits were harmed in this brew!

660ml bottle. Poured a clear golden colour with a big frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is light toffee malt. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, malt, earthy, dry, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

The cask version at the Clitheroe Beer Festival 2023. Amber with a glow. Full tasting with a malty-bitterness, although more of the former including a hint of caramel. Its strength is a factor too in taste and this transfers as a sweetness for the brew.

Bottled as Elgoods Coronation Ale at 6.1% Creamy off white head on a highly carbonated copper coloured body. Malt, caramel & fruity berry aroma. Medium bodied, foamy & thinning out to a sticky back. Malt, berries, fruity & tangy lightly hopped citrus tastes with a bitter finish. Well balanced.
