Our Pumpkin Lager is one of the few pumpkin lagers available in the world. Real pumpkin and pie spice join Munich and caramel malts in our brewhouse, then lager for four weeks in our cellar, and come together with all the flavors of a lush pumpkin pie. Available August–October.

Pours light gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving no lacing. Sour pumpkin and cinnamon aromas. Dry with nutmeg, mild vegetal pumpkin and cinnamon front to back.

Bottle from CBB. Brewing a Kabocha beer so figured I’d drink some pumpkin beer as well. Served in a lager glass. It pours a copper-orange color with minimal head but a nice pumpkin like color. Big coriander & clove aroma with possibly mild nutmeg. Decent flavor a bit nutty, pumpkin flesh and pretty balanced spices with cinnamon and allspice. Medium bodied with a bit of a chewy mouthfeel. Maybe it’s because I’ve been eating kabocha all day but I do get that pumpkin flesh flavor and solid squash nuttiness. I like it. It is much more subdued than your average US pumpkin beer though I think.

Pour is a bright orange with a small white head. Aroma is a nice mix of pumpkin and spice. Flavor is again a nice mix of pumpkin and spices. Not as heavy as some pumpkin beers but I guess going with a lager is what they were trying for. This will satisfy your pumpkin beer crave.

Tap at the stags head as part of oddest flavored flight of beers I’ve ever designed of which this is most subdued. Pours orange brown with nose of traditional pumpkin spices and canned pumpkin pie mix. Tastes much ofnthe same of brown sugar, nutmeg, cloves, some malt, and pre made pumpkin pie. Nice palate and pretty tasty

12 oz. bottle from Julio’s and a second bottle in trade with queenholly. Clear orange in color, thin head with spider web lace. Nose is indeed pumpkin and spice. Good carbonation making for a lively effervescent palate. Very light body (well it is a lager) Pumpkin spice and nutmeg are the only real flavors to speak of. Not bad just really light.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange amber with minimal head and little lacing. Aroma is light spices, pumpkin, caramel. Flavor about the same. Light body, watery.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-caramel color with a medium sized foamy tan head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was semi sweet caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. The flavor was dryish and spicy with strong nutmeg and cinnamon and moderate caramel and nut undertones. Long cinnamon and nutmeg finish. Medium body. Solid.

From notes. Another solid offering from lakefront. You can taste the actual pumpkin a lot more in this beer, unlike some others where it is mostly pumpkin pie spices and cinnamon. Easy drinking and great for the cold October nights.
